I want Kristen Bell. I want Anonymous Losers to stop stalking me. I'll settle for Kristen Bell, the stalkers never stop anyway!

I am a huge fan of Final Fantasy IV. I own pretty much every version of the game except the Japan-only Wonderswan color version and the PSP version. That's right. SNES, PSX, GBA, DS, Android, AND Steam/PC!

But the After Years didn't hold my attention much. It's "episodic gameplay" meaning you pay $3 to $5 for some episodes that adds up to a full-priced game after you pay for them all. I didn't beat them all, to be honest. It just didn't hold my attention.

It's not a complete bust, of course. There are some nice game mechanics like the lunar cycle... different moon phases mean different abilities become stronger or weaker.

But overall I can't really recommend it. It's fun enough but it's too much like the original and too linear. You go through the same maps but in a different order.

And unlike modern sequels, your past save files in FF4 have no influence on the gameplay. It's a spinoff and a sequel but it wasn't what I hoped for when I bought some chapters in 2009.

Also the graphics are very much the same.
